More Thanks
Hugs and kisses to the Grahams and Davissons for their wonderful wishes and super cute fabric squares. Sis is now using the squares to make a diaper bag. What a great idea! The latest purchase for Gi is a ladybug fan from Costco. We also got to celebrate a birthday this weekend. Wendy, Sammi's mom, invited us and other fellow PBChina couples to her home for some delicious birthday bbq. Then it was off to a free concert by Kool and the Gang. Brought back some nice 70's memories. All the hubbies were dancing just as much as the wives!

Agony of the Wait
O.k., every recent CCAI expedited family so far has waited approximately 10 months for their referral. If that still holds true, perhaps hubs and I will get our referral in March or April. Maybe even May since CCAA does not seem to be moving so quickly due to CNY coming up. In the mean time hubs and I continue to wait and wait and wait...

Many Thanks
First, I would like to say a belated thanks to my secret pal who sent me a very cool mommy journal and photo album. I have been writing my daily gratitudes in the journal and hope to be able to share that with Gi when she gets older. Tonight, my wonderful friend, Sherri, gave me a pretty fabric and lovely wish for Gigi. Hugs and kisses to her, Jimbo and Austin!

Babysitting
Last night hubs and I had the wonderful pleasure of babysitting for good friends, Wendy and Ed. Their daughter, Samantha, was a trooper! She played happily in the tub, allowed me to dress her for bed time, drank her bottle of milk and fell promptly to sleep before 7:00 p.m. It was pure snoozing from that point on for little Samantha. I must admit I was a bit nervous babysitting having never been a full-time parent before. Luckily, hubs was there to reassure me and cheer me on. Wendy and Ed gave me some practical tips and offered some much needed pearls of wisdom on parenting. Thanks, Wendy and Ed, for allowing us this opportunity to get our feet wet!
