CCAA Progress

A representative of our adoption agency has confirmed that CCAA has received the additional documentation that they requested from us and that our dossier is being moved to the review room. However, still no estimate as to when our referral match might arrive. Our CCAI rep in China has been instructed to check back with the mighty CCAA after CNY to get a better idea of how much longer hubs and I will have to wait. On another note, our friends, Kim and Todd, will be getting their referral ANY DAY now. They have been waiting 15 months so far for their referral match. Another couple, Belynda and Fernando are actually in China right now to get their little girl. Life is good!

My Dad is 70!

Dad is happy with a plate full of meat and his JW Black Label on the rocks.

Hubs and I shared a passion fruit mousse with hot chocolate.

My dad is 70! Hubs and I took my parents to Chima tonight for Brazilian rodizio. With JW Black Label in one hand and a continuous serving of prime cuts of meat on his plate, my dad was in 7th heaven. Very little vegetables were eaten tonight. Happy birthday, Lo-Dao (father in Cantonese)!!!

Almost Done

I want to wish my family and friends a fantastic 2007. The Chinese Consulate has authenticated my parents passport pages so now I will be expressing that off to our adoption agency. Hopefully, there will be nothing else needed by CCAA. My sister is almost done with Gigi's quilt! The next project that she has so generously taken on is reupholstering a mommy glider that a co-worker has passed on to me. Life is good. Hubs and I are thankful for all the blessings in our lives. For all of my waiting adoption friends out there, may you receive your referral in 2007!
